DescriptionFor the first time, the Lincoln National Guard Marathon and Half Marathon presented by Gatorade, has a Smartphone application to allow you to track any runner’s real-time progress during the event.
This application provides the ability to view the runner’s real-time split mat achievements. As the runner makes their way through the course at each event split (5K, 10K, 15K, Half, 25K, 20M, and Finish) mat their recorded time will be directly uploaded to the event timing servers. Then for any runner you are tracking, that notification will pop up on your phone, providing you with updated split details: Mat time, event net time, distance, pace, etc.
In addition to the race near real-time notifications (possible a 30 second delay), this application allows you to view the runner’s current split mat accomplishments and/or time projections or view the runner’s current location on a graphical map.
For the Racer: With this application a racer can also choose to broadcast their GPS location (from their iPhone or Android Phone) during the event to allow their fans to have an even more accurate visual display of the their current location during the race.
