• Außer ein paar features würde alles von Grund auf neu programmiert, selbst wichtige features wurden verbessert
• Viele features wurden von JellyBean übernommen
• Cataclysm benutzt einen einzigartigen Weg um AOSP und Stock Roms zu kobinieren

Kleiner Erfahrungsbericht:

Ich benutzte die Roms jetzt seid ca. 2 Tagen, was ich hervoheben mag sind einige Features wie zb. der Batterieanzeige eine Prozentangabe hinzufügen oder das verkleinern der Navigationsleiste. Zudem kann man die QuickToggles einfach editieren bzw. neu anordnen. Ein weiteres nützliches Feature ist die Möglichkeit einzustellen wann die mobile Internetverbindung auf zb. 2G schalten soll. So kann man den 2G Modus beispielsweise bei ausgeschlatenem Display erzwingen was erheblich Akku spart.
Allgemein lässt sich sagen dass diese Rom sehr nah an stock Android 4.4 KitKat angelehnt ist mit ausnahme der zusätzlichen Einstellungsmöglichkeiten.
