A brief discussion of some of the permissions Orange Squeeze requires:
The permission "READ PHONE STATUS AND IDENTITY" is used strictly to detect when calls are made or received so that automatic player muting will work.
The permission "MODIFY OR DELETE THE CONTENTS OF YOUR USB STORAGE MODIFY OR DELETE THE CONTENTS OF YOUR SD CARD" allows the app to download tracks to your external storage and also place the application's artwork cache on the external storage.
The permission "FULL NETWORK ACCESS" allows the app to connect to either mysqueezebox.com or your local Logitech Media Server installation.
This release is optimized for phone and mid-size tablet devices like the Nexus 7. It will work great on a larger tablet like the Samsung GalaxyTab 10.1 and the beautiful new Nexus 10, but it has not been optimized for them.
Tested in-house on the original Google Nexus One, Galaxy Nexus, and Nexus 7. Supported on all Android devices running 2.1 and higher.
Note that artwork in the screenshots has been intentionally pixelated. Your artwork will show up crystal-clear!

Great update Many thanks for the ongoing development: nice UI improvements, really fast. Please enhance the download feature: it should be possible to create a subdirectory structure e.g. artist/album/title instead of a putting all titles in one location.

BESTE SqueezeBox "Fernbedienung" Funktioniert als Fernbedienung auf Galaxy Tab u. S2 einwandfrei, um z.B. auch eine sehr große Musiksammlung von 2TByte vom Sofa aus zu bedienen. Nobody ist perfect, das Layout auf dem Tab lässt noch Raum für die direkte Lautst.-Regelung. Das Verschieben der Titel in der Playlist über das Icon funktioniert tadellos ,aber auf dem Tab mit dem linken Daumen manchmal ungewollt. Eine Editiersperre wäre ein nettes Feature.

Derzeit beste Squeeze App aber... ... kommt leider nicht an iPeng ran. Es gibt noch viel zu tun. Alles in allem läuft die App aber rund und ist schnell. Zudem wird die gegenüber dem SqueezeCommander derzeit noch weiter entwickelt. Letzteren fand ich anfangs auch gut, nur scheint dort die Entwicklung leider still zu stehen.
