☆ HOW IT WORKS ☆

When you launch McAfee App Alert, it will scan and check your downloaded applications for access to:

√ Personal data such as contacts, message content, calendar and photos
√ Use of hardware sensors like your microphone, camera, or location mechanism
√ Whether or not it can intercept network or user events like calls, messages and key strokes.
√ Whether or not it has the ability to transmit data to or from the device and the type of data connection it may use to transmit data.

When the scan is complete, it assigns a graphical privacy access rating for each application using a proprietary formula developed by McAfee and reports access level detail. In general, applications with universal access to sensitive data plus the ability to transmit that data, receive the highest privacy access rating.

You decide. McAfee App Alert empowers you to safeguard your privacy. Once you understand your applications’ potential behavior, you have the option to keep or uninstall the application.
