Wie viele von euch, frage natürlich auch ich mich, ob und wann unsere HTC-Lieblings-Android-Phones ein Update auf die neueste Android-Version 2.2 erhalten?! Mit "Lieblings-Android-Phones" meine ich in diesem speziellen Fall aber leider nur das Desire, Droid Incredible, Evo 4G, MyTouch Slide und alle zukünftigen Modelle, welche erst noch veröffentlicht werden.
Denn genau hier liegt das Problem, oder auch nicht (je nachdem welches Modell Du besitzt). Wenn dein HTC-Smartphone im Jahr 2010 veröffentlicht wurde, hast Du eine sehr gute Chance auf Froyo. Eine detailierte Liste mit allen Modellen, welche tatsächlich aktualisiert werden und vor allem zu welchem Zeitpunkt dies geschieht, ist leider noch nicht veröffentlicht worden.
Aber zumindest ein ungefährer Zeitraum, genauer gesagt "die zweite Hälfte dieses Jahres", wurde uns durch eine Meldung von HTC bestätigt. Und dies klingt immerhin schon um einiges vielversprechender als die Aussage: "irgendwann, vielleicht".
Hier ist das offizielle Statement:
[...] if your phone was launched this year, we will most likely offer an upgrade for it to the Froyo version. This includes popular models like the Desire and Droid Incredible as well as hotly anticipated phones like the Evo 4G, MyTouch slide and upcoming models. We will announce a full list of phones and dates once we are closer to launching the upgrades. We are working closely with Google and our other partners to ensure we have the earliest access to everything we need to provide a complete and solid Sense experience on Froyo. We expect to release all updates in the second half of this year but can't be more specific yet.
